I totally know what you mean about swishy coats! I think it reminds me of cloaks from olden days!

DeleteOh my stars, yes! I've always, always fancied chaps in Victorian clothing - all the better if it's a little tweedy, roughed up and redolent of an interesting life lived. I really must look into if this show is being aired on any stations here in my part of Canada. I've heard of it before, but wasn't aware of just how marvelous the fashions were - now I really must watch it! :)

Do try and see if you can watch it Jessica, it's one of the best period dramas to come out of the UK in a while in my opinion and the costumes are incredible, the ones the ladies wear are absolutely swoon inducing! Bennet Drake is my absolute favourite of the three, he fits your description to a tee!
